PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Existing single-story being renovated to convert the outdoor courtyard into an indoor spacious family room. Featuring a wooden structural gable truss and sky-lighting, the reading loft creates a barn-yard style space. Sloping high ceilings with tongue-and-groove construction are used to create the natural feel in an effort to use local materials. Sky lights help the use of natural lighting to infiltrate and illuminate the space.  With bookshelves surrounding the entrance into the room, the reading nook promotes a playful and special experience for children and adults alike to explore,
